Yellowstone National Park has been vital to the preservation of the American Bison. Victim of the intense campaign of slaughter in the 1800's only a few dozen were left by the 1890's-in the pelican Valley of Yellowstone National Park. Today, several thousand bison roam the park's grasslands. Their herds are most often seen in the Hayden and Lamar valleys. Measures 1” x 1.75” Includes two small nails.
